In today’s episode of Mangal Lakshmi – Lakshmi Ka Safar, the story kicks off with Dadi asking Karan and Lakshmi to perform a ritual. She notices Karthik leaving and stops him, reminding him that as part of the family and the future son-in-law, he must participate. Karthik stays back. Dadi instructs Barkha to place the ring in the vessel to begin the ritual, but Barkha hesitates, upset that everyone has overlooked her and Karthik’s wedding. Dadi explains that the Pandit suggested a date next month for their marriage and insists Barkha place the ring for Karan and Lakshmi’s ceremony. After some persuasion, Barkha and Karthik comply.
As the ritual begins, Karan tightly holds Lakshmi’s hand while searching for the ring in the water. Lakshmi finds it, but Karan grabs it and boasts about his luck in having her. Karthik makes an indirect comment about Lakshmi, prompting her to quietly leave.
Later, in the kitchen, Karthik sarcastically praises Lakshmi for her rise from a tailor to the wife of her boss. Though Lakshmi becomes teary-eyed, she remains silent and tries to leave. Karthik stops her, applies turmeric paste to her hand, and insists she answer his questions. Lakshmi firmly says she owes him no explanation and walks away, asserting that she doesn’t need to justify her choices despite Karthik mocking her for marrying his would-be brother-in-law.
When Lakshmi enters the room, Karan throws chandan on her and accuses her of spending time with Karthik. Lakshmi pushes his finger down and boldly tells him to keep both his arrogance and his finger to himself. She reminds him that he needed her and even blackmailed her using Mukesh’s name, then wipes her face, throws the towel at his feet, and walks away. Enraged, Karan vows to teach her a lesson for disrespecting him.
Meanwhile, Barkha prepares a romantic dinner for Karthik. He questions her intentions, and she explains the tension at home due to their postponed wedding and Karan’s marriage to Lakshmi. Barkha admits she underestimated Lakshmi and regrets hiring her. Frustrated by the situation, Karthik angrily breaks a glass, blaming Barkha and Karan for the turmoil in his life, and storms out.
Later, Lakshmi comes out of the washroom to see the room decorated with flowers. Karan mockingly throws a candle onto the bed, setting the roses on fire. Lakshmi quickly extinguishes the flames, telling him he needs a doctor. Karan continues to taunt her, saying he’ll sleep on the couch, but Lakshmi insists she will stay there to escape if he tries anything.
Karan warns Lakshmi to leave before he counts to three, threatening her. When she finds the door locked, he advances toward her, demanding obedience and instructing her to ensure no one knows they aren’t truly married. Lakshmi bravely lies down on the floor to sleep, standing her ground against his intimidation.
