The episode begins with Lakshmi telling Dadi that she had preserved Karan’s cradle and that it has now come in handy for the baby. The baby sleeps peacefully in it. Later, Jia goes to check whether the baby is truly hers. When the baby starts crying, Jia is unable to calm her down. Lakshmi arrives and asks why the baby is crying, but Jia pretends she doesn’t know. As Jia is about to leave, she notices a mark on the baby that matches the description given by the orphanage staff. Fear grips her. She immediately calls someone and asks them to send the baby’s photo. When she receives it, Jia realizes it is the same baby she had given birth to and abandoned. Terrified that her secret may be exposed, she decides she must do something to hide the truth.
Lakshmi notices Jia’s anxious behavior and wonders why she looks so tense, as if a secret is about to come out. Lakshmi secretly takes Jia’s photo and calls the inspector, informing him that she has sent Jia’s picture and that several cases are registered against her. She tells him that Jia has been missing for the past two years and asks for his help in finding out where she has been during that time. The inspector agrees. In her heart, Lakshmi vows to uncover Jia’s secret and expose her before everyone.
Karan notices Lakshmi looking upset and teases her to cheer her up. Later, he gifts her a diamond pendant. Lakshmi admires it, and Karan says it is special because it is a natural diamond—just like her. Lakshmi asks how he found the time to buy it. Karan replies that he ordered it online and proudly talks about it.
The next day, Karan asks Lakshmi where his shirt is and says he is getting late. He accidentally steps on the baby’s toy and falls onto Lakshmi. They share a brief romantic moment before realizing what just happened. Lakshmi remarks that he slipped because of the baby, while Karan jokingly says the baby did it on purpose so he would fall on her. Lakshmi reminds him that he is running late. Karan agrees and says that before heading to the office, he will stop at the police station, as they still need to find the baby’s parents. Lakshmi agrees, and Karan leaves.
Lakshmi goes to get milk for the baby. While she is away, Jia attempts to take the baby out of the house but stops when she sees Lakshmi returning and hides the baby. Lakshmi asks Jia why she looks so disturbed, but Jia brushes it off, and Lakshmi leaves. Moments later, Jia accidentally pushes the baby down the stairs. The baby becomes unconscious, leaving Lakshmi in a state of panic. She rushes the baby to the hospital.
At the hospital, Lakshmi gets the baby admitted. The nurse asks her to fill out a form, explaining that treatment cannot begin otherwise. Lakshmi completes the paperwork. Soon after, Karan arrives. Lakshmi breaks down and blames herself, saying that if she hadn’t left the baby alone to get milk, the accident wouldn’t have happened. Karan consoles her, reassuring her that it wasn’t her fault and that she only stepped out to care for the baby.
The doctor then comes out of the operation theatre and informs them that the baby has lost a significant amount of blood and urgently needs O-negative blood. Lakshmi immediately says that her blood group is O-negative and donates blood to save the baby.
Meanwhile, Krish confronts Jia and demands to know why she tried to take the baby out of the house. He also reveals that he saw her pushing the baby down the stairs and asks her to tell him the truth. Cornered, Jia finally agrees.
Jia shows Krish her sonography reports and tells him that although she gave birth to the baby, the child does not belong to her. She reveals the shocking truth—that the baby is actually Lakshmi and Karthik’s.
