The episode begins with Jhanak signing up for both the debate and the dance. Mishti and her friends also enlist for the group dance. The teacher asks Mishti to include Jhanak, but Mishti says their group is already fixed. The teacher asks if Jhanak can perform solo. Srishti remarks that Tilottama has been trained by Arshi, so Jhanak will not be able to match her. The teacher says Arshi will arrive the next day and advises Jhanak not to attempt a city-style performance.
Jhanak replies confidently that she will learn the city dance form. Tilottama questions if Jhanak knows various dance styles, while Aayush suggests giving Jhanak a chance. Mishti refuses, so Jhanak withdraws from dancing and chooses to participate only in the debate. A senior student announces that the Education Minister will attend the event and encourages everyone to perform well. Mishti taunts Jhanak for trying to do everything, while Aayush supports Jhanak’s right to participate.
Another senior notices Jhanak looking disappointed and asks if she is upset. Jhanak says she will focus on the debate. Mishti tells her to learn properly and try next year. Tilottama mocks her for not knowing even the basics of dance. Jhanak walks away. Mishti follows, telling her she cannot learn to dance in one day and should stop thinking she can excel at everything. Jhanak calmly responds that the judges will decide her ability.
Tilottama warns Jhanak not to talk back. Jhanak asks why she cannot speak when she is also a student. Mishti calls it a waste of time arguing with her. Aayush intervenes, stating that insulting Jhanak is wrong, and leaves.
Meanwhile at home, Indumati talks to Aditi about preparing a surprise for Tanushri. Neelu praises Aditi for having a caring mother-in-law and indirectly taunts Putul for not getting a good married life. Putul replies sharply, hinting that some people cannot stay with their husbands even if they get a good one. Tension rises until Dadabhai arrives and stops the argument.
Mishti enters looking upset and says Jhanak is causing trouble in college. Aditi tells her to ignore Jhanak and warns that she will take action if Jhanak crosses limits. Dadabhai firmly says he will not tolerate anything unfair happening to Jhanak and leaves.
Elsewhere, Anjana tells Bablu she feels bad for Jhanak. Bablu agrees and says Aniruddh has changed. Anjana questions how Aniruddh can treat his own daughter like this. Arshi overhears and confronts them, asking if they expect Aniruddh to remain a servant to others forever. Aniruddh asks Bablu what his issue is, but Bablu says there is no point in discussing it and walks away.
Arshi finally says that even if Jhanak proves she is Aniruddh’s daughter, she still has no place in Kolkata.
