The episode begins with Aditi defending her parents, insisting that Aniruddh did nothing wrong by stopping Jhanak from studying in Kolkata. She claims he only wanted to protect his daughter. Dadabhai questions how Aditi can still support them after all the suffering Jhanak had to endure. Indumati sides with Aditi, saying that Aditi has already gone through enough because of Jhanak.
Aditi then questions Rishi about his injury. Rishi calmly explains that he got hurt while saving Jhanak from molesters. Aditi grows uneasy and asks why he took Jhanak to meet the Education Minister. Rishi states firmly that he will always help Jhanak when she needs support and warns Aditi not to complicate the matter.
Neelu reminds everyone that Rishi had once married Jhanak, and asks how Aditi can behave so casually in this situation. Rishi, frustrated, asks what they all expect him to do. Aditi argues that he has already done more than enough for Jhanak. Rishi replies that he cannot turn his back when someone is in trouble. Aditi, hurt, accuses him of caring for everyone except her.
Dadabhai interrupts and says he is proud that Rishi is not like Aditi’s manipulative parents. Putul then reveals that Jhanak once donated blood to save Aditi’s life. Aditi is stunned. Putul adds that Jhanak wants to move on with her life, but Aditi’s parents keep dragging her back into problems. Indumati scolds Putul and tells her to stay quiet. Dadabhai counters, accusing Indumati of supporting wrong actions.
Family Tensions and Campus Challenges Shape Jhanak’s Journey
Rishi finally speaks up and tells Aditi that his past with Jhanak is over, and that she is his wife now. “But tell me one thing,” he says, “Is helping someone in need a crime?” Aditi, emotional, asks if he wants her to leave. Rishi is shocked and asks when he ever suggested that. He says he simply cannot understand why helping Jhanak is being made into such a big issue. Aditi, in tears, says she can’t bear it anymore. Rishi responds that he can’t tolerate her parents’ interference either and warns that if they cross the line again, he will take official action.
The next day at college, the freshers are gathered for announcements about the upcoming fresher’s party. A student invites Jhanak to join the debate competition. Mishti and her group mock her. Jhanak calmly replies that she hasn’t decided yet. When she is mocked again and asked to dance or say something cheap, Jhanak firmly states that they’re in college to study, not behave foolishly. Mishti taunts her, but Jhanak confidently says she will prove herself at the event.
Meanwhile, Rishi meets Saanjh, an old friend. They share a warm, friendly reunion. Saanjh mentions she is in Kolkata for a college program and will be performing at the medical college — where Mishti studies.
Back in class, Mishti and her friends again make fun of Jhanak’s simple clothes, calling her “different.” Jhanak agrees, saying that her struggles have shaped who she is. When the teacher asks what’s going on, Jhanak simply says she doesn’t accept being insulted — but chooses not to name anyone.
