Jhanak Today Episode 02 November 2025
The episode begins with Jhanak arriving at her college, only to discover that her name is missing from the hostel list. Teacher Mythiri approaches her and advises her to speak directly with the Dean about it. She insists that Jhanak has every right to a hostel seat and no one can take that away. Mythiri also informs her that members of the press are present and encourages her to speak to them. Jhanak thanks Mythiri and heads to meet the Dean.
When Jhanak questions the Dean about the missing name, he dismisses her, saying she has no right to question him and even threatens to rusticate her. Jhanak defends herself, stating she is only standing up for her rights. The Dean becomes angry and orders her to leave, refusing to give a clear answer.
Mythiri reveals that Jhanak was initially allotted a hostel room, but the Dean personally rejected it. The Dean argues that Jhanak can stay with her local guardian and does not need hostel accommodation. Jhanak insists she wants to live in the hostel and explains that she has no contacts in Kolkata. She plans to use her scholarship money for education, not rent. Despite her reasoning, the Dean refuses to reconsider.
Mythiri assures Jhanak of her full support and urges her to speak to the press. Mishti notices them and follows. When reporters begin interviewing students, several complain about similar hostel issues. Mythiri introduces Jhanak to the media, where she bravely explains her situation. She says she is a scholarship student and cannot afford to live as a paying guest. She also hints that certain individuals influenced the Dean’s decision. Mishti is taken aback by Jhanak’s statement.
The journalists vow to confront the Dean and question the unfair treatment. Mythiri also condemns the Dean’s biased decision, suggesting that external pressure played a role. Meanwhile, Jhanak thanks Mythiri, who assures her they can even approach the Education Minister if needed. Mishti overhears their conversation.
Soon after, Aayush, the student leader, learns about Jhanak’s struggle, and a protest breaks out in her support. Watching the news, the Dean becomes furious and labels Jhanak as a troublemaker. When journalists question him, he arrogantly claims full authority over college decisions. Mishti, frustrated, tells her friend that Jhanak always stirs trouble, but her friend points out that Aayush’s support will turn things in Jhanak’s favor.
Later, Aayush meets Jhanak, and she firmly tells him she only wants her rightful place in the hostel. Meanwhile, a concerned teacher warns the Dean that the issue could escalate if it reaches the Education Minister. The Dean decides to call the police to control the student protest.
The police inspector informs Rishi about the situation. Watching the news, Rishi smiles, thinking Jhanak has finally stood up for herself. He secretly admires her courage and instructs the inspector to handle the situation carefully as the protest continues on campus.
