The episode opens with Aniruddh stopping his car after spotting Rishi and Jhanak together. He tells Rishi that he wants to speak with him privately. Jhanak says they should talk, as she is not part of their family, and decides to leave. Aniruddh stops her, saying that she is his family, though he is not there to offer explanations. Turning to Rishi, he says that Aditi may file for divorce and that he wants the separation to be mutual. He then asks Rishi to marry Jhanak after divorcing Aditi. Confused, Rishi asks what Aniruddh truly wants.
Aniruddh replies that he wants Aditi to be settled in life before he dies and insists that a second marriage is not a crime. Rishi responds that Aditi can remarry if she chooses someone herself. Aniruddh says he has a man in mind for Aditi, though he doesn’t know what she feels about him. Jhanak questions why Aniruddh is dragging her into this. He replies that lovers should end up marrying. Jhanak asks why he suddenly cares about her.
Aniruddh says people eventually realize their mistakes. He declares that he loves his younger daughter, Jhanak, and that it hurts him when she rejects his affection. Jhanak asks if this is another trap, saying she cannot trust him. She tells him to remain only Aditi’s father. Aniruddh replies that he hopes she will trust him someday.
Jhanak firmly states that Aniruddh has no right to discuss her marriage with Rishi. Rishi says he wants to see her get married. Jhanak questions why she should trust him when he betrayed Nutan and holds him responsible for Nutan’s death. Aniruddh says that if Nutan were alive, he would have apologized and fixed everything. Jhanak asks if he would have married Nutan, leaving Arshi and Aditi behind. Aniruddh admits that he would have, because he truly loved Nutan.
Jhanak says she couldn’t save Nutan because of Aniruddh. Rishi intervenes, saying it’s not the right time to reopen old wounds. Aniruddh admits his sin and says he hates himself, wishing for death because his life feels meaningless. Jhanak accuses him of acting and says she will never trust him. Aniruddh leaves.
Rishi asks Jhanak not to dwell on Aniruddh. She replies that the truth remains—Aniruddh is her father—and she cannot simply ignore that reality. She admits that accepting him is difficult, yet unavoidable.
Meanwhile, Anjana asks Aditi to eat before leaving. She says she still cannot accept that Aditi and Rishi’s relationship is ending, but she refuses to believe Jhanak is responsible. She adds that even Nutan never caused such a situation and that Arshi was the one who always insulted Nutan. Aditi says she doesn’t want to discuss Nutan. Anjana reminds her that Nutan cared for her for five years. Aditi refuses to talk further, saying too much has already happened in her life. Arshi interrupts, questioning why Aditi is talking to Anjana. Anjana says she is concerned about Aditi’s health. Arshi blames Jhanak and accuses Anjana of pretending to care. She declares that she didn’t let Nutan win and won’t let Jhanak win over Aditi either.
Aditi announces that she has decided to divorce Rishi. Koushik arrives and suggests going on a long drive. Aditi says she is getting late for college and asks what if she leaves before he arrives. Koushik confidently replies that he would reach her college as well. Aditi introduces him to Anjana and Bablu, and Koushik seeks their blessings. He asks Aditi if she is coming with him. Arshi says Aditi will go, but insists Koushik have coffee first. He declines, saying he can have it later at a dhaba. Aditi is surprised and reminds him she must return before evening. Koushik urges her not to waste time and takes her along.
Later, at a restaurant, Koushik tells Aditi that he has finally found someone to go on long drives with and watch the sunrise. He asks if she would ever leave him. Confused, Aditi asks what he means. Koushik says he lacks patience and feels as though he has been waiting for her all these years. Aditi reminds him that they met only recently and that she is still Rishi’s wife. Koushik replies that she wouldn’t have come with him if she were still in love with Rishi.
Aditi admits that she did love Rishi but says she cannot use someone as a distraction just to move on. Koushik says he wants her to get divorced as soon as possible so he can marry her. Shocked, Aditi asks what would happen if his feelings fade. Koushik promises that he will love her forever and wants to know everything about her. Aditi reflects that this is exactly what she always wanted from Rishi but never received, making her realize that perhaps Rishi never truly loved her.
