In today’s episode, Varun admits that everyone is right and that Rajni deserves punishment. He says that Anupama saved Prerna’s life and that, without her, he would have lived forever with guilt. Varun thanks Anupama for risking her life to protect Prerna and asks her to punish him instead. Rahi insists that Anupama punish Rajni and not step back. Prerna adds that she always knew Rajni was capable of sinking so low and demands that she be punished as well.
Rajni receives a call from Varun and learns that Prerna has survived and that Anupama is supposedly no more. Believing Anupama to be dead and her daughter safe, Rajni laughs and celebrates what she thinks is Anupama’s death.
Meanwhile, Prem finds out about Rajni’s murderous attack. Rahi fumes with anger, and Prem vows that he will not spare Rajni. Anupama sets a trap for Rajni and disguises herself as a ghost to terrify her. Shocked, Rajni questions how Anupama could return. She confesses that she had set Anupama on fire and truly believed she was dead. Anupama replies that while the body may burn, the soul never dies. She asks Rajni why she tried to kill her when she had never harmed her and questions how Rajni could plan such crimes without thinking of the consequences—especially when Anupama, too, has a family.
Anupama confronts Rajni, saying that Prerna could have died because of her brutal attack, and questions what kind of mother would want her own daughter dead. Rajni insists that she could never harm Prerna because she loves her. Anupama counters that Rajni did try to kill her daughter and that Prerna would have died if Anupama had not risked her own life to save her.
Using her words carefully, Anupama forces Rajni to confess the truth. Rajni admits that she took Anupama’s fake signature on the chawl demolition papers. When questioned further, she also confesses to sending goons after Ishani and Pari and admits that she attempted to kill Anupama. She keeps insisting that Anupama cannot be alive because she herself had set her on fire and believed she was dead.
Elsewhere, Parag tells Khyati that he cannot live with the guilt of causing Vasundhara so much pain. Khyati encourages him to have faith in God, assuring him that a way will be shown and reminding him that his family stands by him. Prem also lends his support. Khyati asks Vasundhara how long she plans to sit before God. Vasundhara replies that she will die there but will not move. Prem urges her not to speak of death and asks her to trust God’s plan, saying that a new morning is yet to come.
Back at the chawl, the residents blame Anupama for taking away their homes. They question Preet and Sarita about Anupama’s whereabouts and accuse her of ruining their lives. Anupama asks them to trust her one last time. Preet warns Anupama to leave, saying the residents are extremely angry. Anupama pleads with them to hear her out. One woman raises a stick to hit Anupama, but Rahi steps in and defends her.
Meanwhile, Mahi and Gautam review their investments. Mahi says they will not help the Kotharis and instead will build a house of their own. Both grow excited about their future plans. Elsewhere, Rajni believes her dream is close to becoming reality and decides to accompany the builder to supervise the chawl demolition. Sarita urges the residents to listen to Anupama’s plan, reminding them that there is still hope to save the chawl.
